71% of respondents surveyed by the National Democratic Institute (NDI) support Georgia’s becoming a member of NATO, whereas 17% is against NATO membership. According to the researchers, the number of senior citizens and younger generation supporting Georgia’s integration with NATO is equal.
The polls were held on 13-29 July throughout Georgia with the exception of the occupied regions, with 2,131 people participating in face-to-face interviews.
The political part of the survey will be published on September 19.
NDI public opinion poll surveys are held through financial assistance of the UK aid, with CRRC-Georgia conducting the polls.
