Tbilisi mayoral candidate Nika Melia, the leader of the United National Movement, responds to the 30th day of President Mikheil Saakashvili's hunger strike.
Melia says that today's elections are important in this regard as well. He said today; voters can end political persecution and civil disunity in society.
"This country does not have a third president for him to die, especially in the name of Gharibashvili, Kobakhidze, Ivanishvili, Shalva Ramishvili others. Therefore, I think today we have a historic chance to end historical injustice. Save the life of one particular person. I have already told you what gives me the basis for this optimism, and in a few hours, we will all be convinced that history will be written today. Most importantly, this will largely end the era of political persecution and civil separation," Nika Melia said.
