No agreement was reached between the ruling team and the opposition on the amnesty project prepared for the events of June 19-20.

The opposition discussed the issue with the Speaker of Parliament for almost an hour. As Kakha Kuchava's told the journalists, "Georgian Dream" will present its version in the first hearing at the plenary session, which will most likely not gain the support of the opposition.

According to Badri Japaridze, the opposition bill is in full compliance with the document drawn up by Charles Michel.

"According to our project, the amnesty should be extended to two articles. According to the Georgian Dream, the amnesty should be extended to those articles that do not get criminalized today, but the case may be launched later. In addition, in the case of our project, the victims' consent is required to extend amnesty to those police officers who are being prosecuted.

Under our project, the consent of an amnestied person is not required to be granted amnesty. In the case of the Georgian Dream, such consent is required, and the person must confirm in writing that he does not refuse the amnesty," Badri Japaridze told reporters.
