Salome Zurabishvili, the President of Georgia hosted Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the President of Germany at the official dinner in Tsinandali.
According to the press service of the President of Georgia, Zurabishvili talked about the ancient Georgian culture with the guests and gave a toast to Georgian and German people.
“We are grateful to Germany for providing access to higher education to many Georgian citizens during one of the most difficult years in the country’s history. Most of this students came from poor families. Germany’s support was the continuation of educational union beginning from the 19th century. Today your country opens up even greater opportunities for us”, Salome Zurabishvili said.
The President of Georgia also noted that last year Georgia was an honorary guest of the Frankfurt Book Fair.
