Ombudswoman says president Zurabishvili must veto draft bill on State Inspector's Service

President Salome Zurabishvili must veto the draft bill on the State Inspector's Service, according to Ombudswoman Nino Lomjaria.

''In my view, this draft bill breaches human right standards, and the president must exercise a veto against it. She must submit her motivated remarks to the parliament; however, the ruling party is determined not to reverse the decision. Considering this, we should suppose that they will override the veto,'' Public Defender Lomjaria declared.

Droa party leader Elene Khoshtaria has also appealed to president Zurabishvili to exercise her right to veto the draft bill.

State Inspector Londa Toloraia also hopes that the president will exercise a veto against the draft bill.
