Chairman of the European Georgia party, Gigi Tsereteli, has responded to 5-6 July Tbilisi developments, saying that they had tarnished the country's reputation, especially considering that the authorities had stirred up violent groups, let them enjoy impunity, and blamed the opposition for their misdeeds.
In Tsereteli's words, the government has failed to fulfill its responsibility to maintain order in the country and ensure safety.
