OSCE/ODIHR Observation Mission Head says elections were held against backdrop of political crisis

Albert Johnson, the head of the OSCE/ODIHR Observation Mission, said at today's press conference that elections in Georgia mainly were well-managed, but they were held against the background of political crisis.

In Johnson's words, instances of violence against journalists have also been observed on polling day.

The head of the mission emphasized election-related procedural challenges and specific groups' intervention in the election process, with them trying to influence some individuals outside the polling stations.

Albert Johnson calls upon the government to launch the corresponding investigation.
