Parliament voted in the second hearing on the bill to abolish the State Inspector's Service with 81 for, 11 against.

The issue is scheduled to be discussed and voted on in the third hearing today.

At the initiative of the Georgian Dream, the draft law on transforming the State Inspector Service into two independent institutions will be considered by the Parliament in an expedited manner. Following the bill, the Investigative and Personal Data Protection Divisions of the State Inspector's Office will be established as two independent institutions.
