The Prime Minister of Georgia responded to the events that took place at the Holy Synod meeting. Giorgi Gakharia made the statement at the Government session.
"What we saw yesterday is a deliberate attack on the state and the church, of course some groups that don’t want the peaceful development of the country are trying to provoke the future. It is unacceptable and we all understand that the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia is a symbol of church and state", Gakharia said.
