Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili said in his statement that the Georgian Dream managed to win 47% of votes despite some doubting that it would have received 43%.
''We have won convincingly despite betrayal stripping us of roughly 7-8%. I mean Gakharia's party. Additionally, as we see it, former president Saakashvili's arrival helped the National Movement to win around another 7-8%. Against this backdrop, getting 47% and winning convincingly in 44 municipalities countrywide is a great achievement,'' Irakli Gharibashvili stressed.
