The unique manuscript of "The Knight in the Panther's Skin," the cover of which was stamped by the famous Georgian sculptor Guji Amashukeli working in France, became part of the UN Art Collection in New York. The museum copy of "The Knight in the Panther's Skin," created in 2017-2018 in Tbilisi and Paris by a group of artists and calligraphers, was officially handed over by the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili to the UN today.

The engraved cover of a unique treasure of national importance, created by Guji Amashukeli, is made of silver and uses up to 20 gemstones.

Sculptures created by Guji Amashukeli, symbolic items, medallions, jewelry, or gold and silver sculptures on mythological-religious themes are the property of world-famous museums, galleries, and private collectors. Each item created by Guji Amashukeli is unique and will not be repeated.

"It is a great honor and privilege for me to participate in this historic event. We are giving a gift to the United Nations, and I am honored to convey it officially. I want to thank the United Nations for everything - for supporting Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity," said Irakli Gharibashvili.

The gift of Georgia was placed on the second floor of the UN Headquarters, on one of the most important places, between them is a hall where the meetings of the UN Security Council are held.

UN Under-Secretary-General Atul Khare attended the event.
