"We are deeply saddened by the tragic events that have taken place in Kazakhstan, as a result of which dozens of people have been killed," Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili said at a government meeting.
The head of government also spoke about Georgian citizens in Kazakhstan and noted that some of them have returned to Georgia, and the embassy continues to communicate actively with Georgian citizens who remain on the ground, providing assistance if needed and return to Georgia in the coming days.
"I want to respond to the current events in Kazakhstan. Of course, we have been observing very careful events that took place in recent days. We are deeply saddened by the tragic events in Kazakhstan, resulting in the deaths of dozens of people. We hope that all measures will be taken as soon as possible to de-escalate the situation, achieve security and stability finally. We wish the country to be able to overcome the consequences of the crisis very soon and continue to move towards further development," the Prime Minister said.
