"Support against occupation and non-recognition policy is getting stronger. We are working very effectively to punish those responsible for violating the lives of our citizens, for releasing illegal detainees, including Zaza Gakheladze and Irakli Bebua," the Prime Minister said during the presentation of the report and the ten-year development plan of the country to the Parliament.
"The decision of the Strasbourg court in the case "Georgia vs. Russia" is clear proof of our efforts. Russia has been held responsible for mass human rights violations against the ethnic Georgian population. At the same time, we continue the policy of active, result-oriented reconciliation and engagement with the Abkhaz and Ossetian brothers, encouraging joint economic activity along the dividing lines within the framework of the peace initiative "Step to a Better Future," Irakli Gharibashvili said.
