Georgian PM Irakli Gharibashvili has met with his Spanish counterpart Pedro Sanchez within the framework of his visit to Spain.

The Prime Minister's Press Office says that they focused on all key aspects of bilateral relations between Georgia and Spain at the meeting.

An emphasis was laid on Spain being a staunch supporter of Georgia's sovereignty and its Euro-Atlantic aspirations. The parties showed readiness to strengthen economic ties between the two countries.

The top officials said that high-level visits would be carried out in the two countries, and Spanish companies and business representatives would be involved in Georgia's economic processes.

Spanish prime minister also showed readiness to assist Georgia in fighting against the pandemic and its repercussions.

Executive Director at the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Zurab Pololikashvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Davit Zalkaliani, and Ambassador of Georgia to Spain Ilia Giorgadze attended the meeting.
