De facto President of Georgia's breakaway region of Abkhazia Raul Khajimba, does not plan to leave his post. He told the five "deputies" who serve as mediators between the so-called President and the opposition that he does not intend to resign.

Other "deputies" have drawn up a project on termination of his presidency. The document will presumably be discussed at a session soon; however, the date is not yet known.

The situation is Sokhumi escalated a few hours ago, with the opposition forces storming the de-facto President's Administration. The puppet government defined this move as a coup.

The opposition maintains that Raul Khajimba failed to receive a majority of electoral votes at the presidential elections. However, the Central Election Committee declared him a winning candidate.

In the first round of the so-called elections, Raul Khajimba received 47.39% of electoral votes, Alkhan Kvitsinia 46.17%, while in the second round, he emerged a winner with 66.55% of votes.
