''I am grateful to the representatives of the opposition for what they are doing. I believe in them,'' a co-founder of Georgian opposition-minded TV channel Mtavari Arkhi Giorgi Rurua told journalists after leaving prison.
According to Rurua, UNM head Nika Melia's rapid release is a must to overcome the political crisis.
"I have served a year and a half after a mistrial and false conviction. Everyone knows this. However, I want to leave this behind and help the country move forward,'' he said.
Giorgi Rurua left No.8 penitentiary facility a while ago.
Georgian President Zurabishvili released him on parole today.
