Justice Ministry of Georgia has released a statement saying that Mikheil Saakashvili insulted prison staff and damaged expensive medical equipment. 

''Following his arrival, Mikheil Saakashvili physically and verbally assaulted No18 penitentiary establishment employees and damaged expensive medical devices.

The Justice Ministry has already adequately responded to this fact. The General Inspection Service is looking into the incident,'' the statement reads. 

Georgian ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili has been transferred to Gldani prison.

According to preliminary information, Mikheil Saakashvili was transferred to Gori Military Hospital.

Saakashvili's mother said earlier that they ''made him vanish'' somewhere.

Ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili, who was detained on Oct 1, has been on a hunger strike for 40 days now.
