Mikheil Saakashvili, the third President of Georgia, responds to the release of Vano Merabishvili, the former Minister of Internal Affairs, on social media.
"I welcome Vano Merabishvili's release after many years of imprisonment, while he was innocent. I am proud of his stubbornness and steadfastness. I agree with him that there will be an end to Ivanishvili. It will end not because of our personal feelings, but because, as Vano said, our country needs progress and development," Saakashvili wrote.
Vano Merabishvili, the former Minister of Internal Affairs, is free. He left the so-called Matrosov prison.
