UNM member Khatia Dekanoidze says that the party will put a stop to boycotts if they form an investigation commission to look into ex-pres. Mikheil Saakashvili's case.
In Dekanoidze's words, with its move, the government will soon take away State Inspector Londa Toloraia's power to investigate Saakashvili's case. ''If we are assured that the Investigation Commission can replace the State Inspector's Service, we will take our parliamentary seats,'' Dekanoidze declared.
Ex-leader of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili has put forward an initiative of creating a temporary Investigation Commission in the parliament.
By the parliament's decision, the State Inspector's Service of Georgia is set to cease functioning on 1 March 2022.
