"From next year, the issue of labor remuneration will be reviewed throughout the municipality," the Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, stated about it at the meeting of the government of the capital and responded to the statement made by the Prime Minister of Georgia two days ago regarding the increase of salaries of public servants.
He said existing rates, which have not changed over the years, do not properly value the work of people in the service of the state and citizens.
Kakha Kaladze instructed the deputy mayors, in close cooperation with the central government, to work actively on this issue in order to increase the salaries from January next year.
According to him, the public sector can not compete with the private sector in terms of remuneration, which contributes to the outflow of qualified personnel.
