Speaker of Parliament: We hope for the future

The Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili congratulates the population on the New Year on behalf of the Parliament. As Shalva Papuashvili notes, in 2022, the Parliament will actively continue to strengthen state institutions, help establish a dignified place for Georgia in the European family and ensure a better future for our citizens.

"Today, we all say goodbye to a year full of difficult challenges and look forward to the future. Our doctors, our police officers, our soldiers, our teachers were the main ones in overcoming the difficulties caused by the pandemic. Thank you and all the people who stood by the state during this difficult time.

In 2022, the Parliament, as the direct implementer of the will of the people, will actively continue to strengthen state institutions, promote the establishment of a dignified place for Georgia in the European family, and ensure a better future for our citizens.

That is why it is vital to unite around common state goals. The involvement and activity of every citizen of Georgia in this process are crucial. We are the children of this country, and we have a common future. I believe that we all think of Georgia's unity, progress, and development. Therefore, against the background of today's challenges, as never before, Georgia needs unanimity and mutual support. Our history obliges us to do so, unique culture and a responsibility to our children's future.

Happy New Year once again, and I am sure that 2022 will be a year of peace and development for our country," said the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia in the congratulatory message.
