To mark the 28th anniversary of the fall of Sokhumi and to honor the memory of those killed in the Abkhaz war, a state flag was hoisted at the Georgian government administration building.
The state flag was lowered on all administrative buildings throughout Georgia.
The military confrontation in Abkhazia began on August 14, 1992. The war lasted 13 months and 13 days.
