"The United States Department of State issued a statement on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Welles Declaration, which also speaks about the occupation of Georgian territories," the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Davit Zalkaliani wrote on Facebook.
The Minister notes that this is another clear expression of support from the US. David Zalkaliani thanks the United States for demonstrating its support.
"Today marks the 80th anniversary of the Welles Declaration. The adoption of this declaration in 1940 laid the foundation for the United States' policy of non-recognition of the Soviet occupation of the three Baltic states," writes the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Davit Zalkaliani.
