Tato Zarkua, who was kept in custody by the Russian occupants, has been freed, with the information confirmed by the State Security Service.

Zarkua has already been transported to the Georgian-controlled territory. He will presumably have to undergo a two-week quarantine.

Tato Zarkua, who resides in Ukraine, was detained in the village of Rikhe by the occupants on 3 July, when he visited Georgia. His family was contacted and informed that he faced illegal border crossing charges.
