Tea Akhvlediani has been appointed as the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality. Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia stated about it in today's government sitting.

"Today, we have a new member of our team, Tea Akhvlediani, new State Minister for Reconciliation, and Civic Equality. I want to congratulate her on this responsible position. She has always been a member of our team. As you know, Tea used to work in the Ministry of Health as a Deputy Minister. She has a lot of experience in representing our diplomatic team," Gakharia said.

Tea Akhvlediani worked as the Ambassador of Georgia to Estonia from 2014 to May 2019. On June 13, 2019, she was appointed Deputy Minister of Health to David Sergeenko.

Akhvlediani replaced Ketevan Tsikhelashvili, who has been Georgia's Permanent Representative to the OSCE Mission and international organizations based in Vienna since May 22, as well as Georgia's Ambassador to the Republic of Austria.
