The ships of the US Sixth Fleet Mount Whitney and Porter arrived in Batumi.
Mount Whitney is in the territorial waters of Georgia for the fifth time, and Porter is here for the second time.
Joint exercises are planned during the visit. According to the ship's commander and admiral, the visit is another proof of strong support and partnership. The visit highlights NATO allies and security issues in the Black Sea region.
The crew members were given a solemn welcome at the Batumi port. As part of the visit, a press tour will be held on one of the ships tomorrow.
The ships will leave Batumi port on November 10.
