Two parliamentary committees supported abolition of the State Inspector's Service

Parliament's Procedural Affairs and Human Rights Committees supported the initiative to abolish the State Inspector's Service by a majority vote.

The meeting of the Committees was held amid the noise. In addition to the committee members, representatives of the non-governmental sector and State Inspector Londa Toloraia, who left the committee meeting before it ended, took part in the discussion.

The Parliament will consider the draft in an expedited manner, the purpose of which is to abolish the service of the State Inspector. Instead of the Inspector's Service, two agencies will be established: A Special Investigation Service and a Personal Data Protection Service.
