U.S. Department of State: Georgia's judiciary is slow, ineffective, less transparent

In its report, The U.S. Department of State has referred to weakened investor confidence and diminished trust in Georgia caused by the country's fragile judiciary.

According to the report, the unbiasedness and objectivity of Georgia's judiciary are under a question mark.

The report goes on to say that the approval of court nominees raises doubts, with this diminishing investor's confidence. ''Lots of investors deem Georgia's judiciary slow, ineffective, and less transparent,'' the report reads.

The Department of State notes that despite issues, Georgia is still a leader in the region when it comes to doing business.
