UNM leader says Saakashvili's plane may or may not land at Tbilisi airport

UNM leader Nika Melia says that Georgian ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili put his safety at stake to return to Georgia.

''A risk is posed to this man's safety, but he is coming to Georgia. We all know that the plane which he will board may or may not land at the international Tbilisi airport. They will make it land wherever they want. This man put his life at stake as he does not want to be persecuted any longer. He'd better be behind bars,'' Melia told TV Pirveli.

Georgian ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili has booked a Kyiv-Tbilisi flight ticket.

Saakashvili said in his video address that he plans to enter Georgia on 2 October election day.
