The US 2021 budget provides $ 170 million in military aid to Europe and Eurasia, including Georgia.

According to the Fiscal Year 2021 budget bill, strategic security priorities of Europe and Eurasia are to oppose Russian influence and aggression, through strengthening allies and partners to protect their sovereignty, as well as improved collaboration with NATO and other Western forces and the implementation of sustainable defense reforms.

The document reveals that the funding will help with the supply of equipment and training, including tactical equipment for intelligence and surveillance, as well as command and control.

The priority recipients of funding in the US Fiscal Year 2021 budget are Georgia, Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, the front-line countries.

"A portion of the regional foreign military financing will help to expand the European Recapitalization Incentive Program, which emphasizes the sharing of burdens of US grant aid to countries investing national funds in modernizing their military and getting rid of Russian equipment," the document reads.

The Fiscal Year 2021 budget bill also provides financial assistance to Georgia as part of the International Military Education and Training Program. Under the program, $ 25.5 million will go to Europe and Eurasia, with Georgia, Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Turkey, and Ukraine receiving the funding.
