Vano Merabishvili made first comments after leaving prison. He thanked his supporters and talked about his political plans.
"I kept my strength with your support and hope for the future, to overthrow this regime. I guarantee that this government will be over in a year. Besides, all political prisoners will be released," Vano Merabishvili said.
Vano Merabishvili did not comment on which party he will join.
"It's a pity that my teammates are on different sides. I will meet all of them, get acquainted with their plans, I will need some time," Vano Merabishvili said.
Merabishvili, the former Minister of Internal Affairs, is free. He left the so-called Matrosov prison.
A former senior law enforcement official got arrested on May 21, 2013.
