Vashadze: 2012 power transfer should not be the only episode

"The Georgian Dream party tells us about patriotism, but you are not patriots, gentlemen," one of the United National Movement party leaders, Grigol Vashadze, appealed to the ruling team at today's protest.

In his words, the peaceful transfer of power in 2012 should not remain an isolated episode in Georgia's history.

"A patriot is one who, holding an office, is ready to leave it at the request of the people. A patriot is one who believes that the peaceful transfer of power in 2012 should not remain the only episode in our history. Who believes that the judiciary should be the highest authority and the expression of the will of the people," Grigol Vashadze stated.

Eight opposition parties refuse to enter the parliament of the tenth convocation.

The protesters do not recognize the October 31 elections' results and demand snap elections.

Another request of the protesters is the resignation of the Georgian Central Election Commission Chairperson Tamar Zhvania.
