Vashadze: Waiting for UN-ODIHR conclusion
We are waiting for the UN-ODIHR conclusion regarding the Georgian model based developed based on the German model – declared the leader of the New Georgia party. Giorgi Vashadze after the completion of the government and opposition meeting.
He says that the Georgian Dream is to present their version of the election system change.
“First of all, we are waiting for the UN-ODIHR conclusion regarding the Georgian model which is based on the German model. The Diplomatic Corps offered their option which is a part of the selected components of our proposal to be independently reviewed and discussed, including a multi-mandate majoritarian system in districts. Georgian Dream has no arguments against the proposed option.
There will be one more meeting. We expect that Georgian Dream will be ready to discuss the separate components”, - said Vashadze.
Vashadze declared that peaceful protest will continue to make the Georgian Dream listen to society.
Diplomatic Corps initiated the second meeting of the Georgian Dream and the opposition to continue discussions on the election system.
