Parliamentary elections are held in Georgia today.

Voters will have to take off their face masks at electoral precincts twice; in the event of refusal, they will not be entitled to cast a vote.

As per the Order by the Central Election Commission (CEC), voters shall temporarily remove their face masks when presenting their passports and IDs in a voting room and when voter registration commission members will compare voters' registration data in their passports or IDs to those in the voters' list.

In accordance with the Order, citizens who will refuse to remove face masks will not be allowed in the voting booth.

People who cannot wear face masks because of health issues are not required to do so if they present the corresponding medical certificate.

The tenth convocation of the parliament is elected in Georgia today.
