Former Chairman of Parliament Kakha Kuchava said that the issue of his resignation has been discussed together with the team for months.
In Kuchava's words, he will stay in the political council to work on projects of great significance.
The Ex-Chairman of Parliament thanked his team members and wished success to his replacement Shalva Papuashvili in his future activities.
''I have always reiterated that the parliament is not the only body in which important decisions must be made. The time we went through was not easy, and I have tried to serve as everyone's chairman. I consider this attempt of mine was mainly a success,'' Kuchava said.
Kakha Kuchava, the Chairman of the Georgian Parliament, has recently stepped down. Shalva Papuashvili will replace him.
