Lithuanian Seimas Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Žygimantas Pavilionis has responded to UNM head Nika Melia leaving prison in his Facebook post.
''Well, after all, Sakartvel opposition leader Nika Melia is free, with thanks to both EU and US negotiators and me personally. Although I received criticism from our President, freedom was defended, with whom I congratulate everyone!!!'' he wrote.
The UNM head has thanked Žygimantas Pavilionis after leaving the prison facility by saying that his special thanks go to Mr. Pavilionois, who backed him when he was in trouble by arriving in Georgia and the UNM office to show solidarity. ''If not for Pavilionis, I do not think we would have this outcome now,'' Mr. Melia said.
