Artificial intelligence will be used to decode the ancient Greek and other antique texts.DeepMind in cooperation with Oxford University created a system which will help scientists to restore the fragmented writings and parts of stone encrusted texts. Parts of the texts created in before Christ period is an inalterable source for history, literature and anthropology. Archeologists have lots of such artefact discovered but the mankind failed to match the separate pieces and bring out the common context of them.
The decoding algorithm is developed. The authors say that it works with 70% accuracy. The IT and science group of professionals is already working to create a digital base for all available coded texts. The artificial intelligence will be involved in the process during the next stage.
