The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued recommendations for travelers from the coronavirus high-risk countries.
“If you travel from the high-risk countries (China, Iran, Italy, Republic of Korea), you must follow the recommendations below:
In the airplane: fill out a special questionnaire on your travel history; you must wear a mask in the airplane; change masks every two hours and place the used one in the garbage pack.
Strictly follow the hygiene rules: wash hands with water and soap before meals or use spiritus-containing cleaning aids; wash hands with water and soap after visiting toilets or use spiritus-containing cleaning aids; avoid close contact with people with fever or cough; refrain from touching nose, eyes, and mouse.
For the Georgian citizens: we summon the citizens of Georgia to refrain from travel to the countries named by the WHO as the high-risk countries unless absolutely necessary. These countries are China, South Korea, Italy, and Iran.
Please, take into account that in case of traveling in the mentioned countries or transit through these countries, you will be placed in 14-day quarantine after you undergo a thorough examination and testing on the country border.
For non-Georgia citizens: Please, take into consideration that due to the current situation, limitations are imposed when passing the Georgian border.
The visitors who during the last 14 days traveled to the countries ranked by WHO as high-risk zones (China, South Korea, Italy, and Iran) will be placed in a 14-day quarantine after the thorough examination on the border, or they have to present a certificate of being tested for (COVID – 19) PCR method issued by the laboratory of the departure country,” – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends.
