As he walked past a barbershop in Shanghai, China, on November 3, the owner of Instagram page @shanghaiobserved spotted an unusual sight, according to Storytrender.
Lying on the floor, the woman had her jet-black hair spread out above her head while her stylist sat just away from her.
Leaning over with the shiny blade, he chops down across the hair to take off a sizable chunk of her locks, before moving the cuttings away.
Turning the blade to a 90-degree angle, he quickly slices down to add some layering, before standing his client up and shaking out the remaining split ends.
