How to plan your digital death

Unless you are prepared for all your embarrassing selfies, memes, and tweets to stay online for eternity, you will find below presented information on planning your digital death offered by Mashable  company on its website very useful.

We spend so much time browsing the internet, scrolling through social media and looking up recipes that being online has become a real extension of our lives. However, while nobody wants to think about it, our lives are finite, the internet not so much. And nobody wants to think of what happens on their personal pages when they are gone.

In order to have your personal pages secured, you must take the corresponding measures in your lifetime. First and foremost, you must designate an executor who will deal with your digital remains.

A number of companies have already surfaced on the world market for this purpose; these companies enable users to find a person who will handle their personal information, such as a password, credit cards and banking details and keep all their secrets under wrap; however, these designated individuals will be allowed to fulfill all these functions after your death only.

And don't forget to include your phone's password in any relevant notes if you want your designated person to have access there too. For most of us, our phones contain the majority of our personal data. And a number of giant companies like Apple have explicitly made it clear that they cannot and will not unlock the phones even when the user is deceased.

So guarding your personal privacy while you are alive, is an excellent idea, the internet is forever. It is worth making plans on what happens to your digital life after you are gone: be preserving your posts for all eternity or make sure you social presences, emails and data will just die with you.
