The experimental vaccine trains the human immune system to detect cancer cells by attacking and destroying them. Instead of using traditional chemotherapy, the vaccine helps the body improve its own immune system to fight cancer.
Participants in a four-year clinical trial will receive one injection of the vaccine every six weeks. After that, they will undergo therapy every two weeks for a year.
