A fire killed two in the former sanatorium Friendship in Tskaltubo, on Rustaveli Street. Both of the victims of the fire were nearly 65-years-old. Rescuers were not able to save them when they arrived at the scene; women were found dead.
As a result of the fire, one room on the second floor of the building completely burnt down. IDPs are living in the former sanatorium.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the investigation was launched under Article 188 of the Criminal Code of Georgia. The crime is punishable by imprisonment for the term of three to five years. The cause of the fire is yet unknown.
