"The educational process has been suspended in 25 kindergartens in Tbilisi," report.ge was informed about it from the Kindergarten Management Agency. According to them, the upbringing process got triggered by the confirmation of coronavirus cases. 8 out of 25 establishments did not open on March 1, while 17 kindergartens closed due to confirmed cases after opening.
"According to the regulations for the prevention of the spread of coronavirus, as soon as the fact of infection is detected, the administration of the kindergarten will contact the parents of the children and inform them about the termination of the upbringing process. The kindergarten building is being disinfected, and after the expiration of the relevant isolation period, the facility will resume work. The Tbilisi Kindergarten Management Agency started testing on February 25 and was done by March 1. 20% underwent PCR testing while 80% did antigen ones," the statement said.
