A man, 34, has died of COVID-19 in the Akhaltsikhe municipality. The late man was reportedly in a critical condition and was subject to around a two-week treatment in an intensive care unit in the Kharagauli and Sachkhere municipalities.
It is unknown whether the patient suffered from underlying health conditions.
Georgia recorded 3,958 cases in the past 24 hours to bring the total tally to 108,690. A total of 3,531 patients have recovered, with their number increasing to 89,170.
The country has registered 1,012 deaths (36 recent).
