A 6-year-old child died as a result of gunfire in the village of Kvakhchiri in the Terjola municipality.
The child was taken to the National Center for Interventional Medicine, where the patrol police are mobilized.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed the information about the incident to report.ge.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the investigation was launched under Article 116 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (Loss of life through negligence).
The crime is punishable by restricting freedom for the term of up to five years or by imprisonment for the same term.
