"The total number of deaths this year was analyzed yesterday, and 99.7 percent is sadly those who were not vaccinated. On the other hand, the rate of infection in the vaccinated population was also analyzed, it is about 0.3 percent in double vaccinations and 0.9 percent in single vaccinations," the director of the National Center for Disease Control, Amiran Gamkrelidze, stated.
As Amiran Gamkrelidze explained, if a thousand vaccinated people become infected, 15 people will most likely die, and if 1000 vaccinated citizens become infected, there is a risk of one death.
"You know the current data, in the range of 4 800, this is more than we had at the peak of May and is close to the situation we had at the end of November. Unfortunately, we have 34 deaths. Vaccination has a very serious basis, and therefore, once again, we say that vaccination is one of the main things that will protect our population today from further deterioration of the epidemic and a disastrous outcome," said Gamkrelidze.
