According to the Emergency Situations Coordination and Emergency Response Center, emergency doctor Irakli Tskhvitava has been awarded the title of Honorary Citizen in the Senaki municipality.
Last year, Irakli Tskhvitava rescued a woman from drowning while she was swept into the waves of a roaring river. "He is a hero of our time. For him, caring for others is the essence of life. He has been a doctor at the Emergency Situations Coordination and Emergency Response Center for nine years now. We are proud of him," the statement reads.
