According to the Ministry of Health of Georgia, around 100 Imams, Muslim theologians, and representatives of sports have received COVID-19 jabs.   

Representative of the United Nations Children's Fund Ghassan Khalil, Minister of Health and Social Protection of Ajara Nino Nizharadze, and Minister of Education, Culture, and Sports of Ajara Maia Khajishvili attended the vaccination process. 

Allergist/Immunologist Bidzina Kulumbegov and medical personnel at Tbilisi's Central Republican Hospital vaccinated the religious leaders. 

Another meeting with Muslim religious leaders, representatives of sports and art was held today, at which they were provided with vaccination-related information and the current situation in Georgia. 

The meeting was organized by the United Nations Children's Fund, the NCDC, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Education of Ajara.
