Gori District Court sentenced the defendant to 6 years in prison for the perverse action against a 5-year-old child. The trial which began in July was completed in October. The defendant confessed to the crime and given the circumstances that he had ischemic stroke in the past the judge accepted it as a mitigating circumstance.
According to the case file from March to July 2019 O.I. repeatedly engaged in abusive behavior towards 5-year-old child in the house shared by him and the victim.
