Civic activists have cut off the electricity supply to the hotel in which Russian journalist Vladimir Pozner has stayed since his arrival in Georgia.
A protest rally has so far been underway outside the hotel building, with law enforcers monitoring the situation.
Rally participants say that there is no room for Pozner in Georgia, and he must leave the country.
The Russian TV host is now having supper at Vinotel together with other members of the delegation.
Mr. Pozner has visited Georgia to celebrate his birthday.
